The composition of the central zone of the "Chelebi" carpet consists of one large pattern or several large patterns arranged in a row. The place where this carpet was first made was the village of Chelebilyar, located 10 km east of Barda. The composition and structure of the "Chelebi" carpets originated and improved in this village; later, having spread in Karabakh, Aran, and especially in the Kazakh and other areas of carpet weaving since the 19th century, they gained popularity under various names.
