The composition of the central zone of the "Chelebi" carpet consists of one large pattern or several large patterns arranged in a row.

The place where this carpet was first made was the village of Chelebilyar. The composition and structure of the "Chelebi" carpets originated and improved in this village; later, having spread in Karabakh, Aran, and especially in the Gazakh and other areas of carpet weaving since the 19th century, they gained popularity under various names.
